How does Packaging Affect the Net Performer Score?

Did you know that the net performer score is actually a good indication of business growth, and your packaging plays a part in this. A net promotor score is a good indicator of the growth of the business. The consumer goods companies are look for the right edge and want to get feedback and insight on this for the customer, and there’s a lot of factors that contribute to this, so we’ll go over first what the net performer score, and also how your packaging plays a huge role in this. 

First, what is it? 

This is a tool which is survey-based that allows companies to understand along with quantify the level of loyalty and satisfaction. This is a way for people to see if the product will recommend this to the friend, and any feedback which will increase the promoter number, or decrease it if there are detractors of this sort of thing. 

While the metrics aren’t totally encompassing since it doesn’t offer demographics, the NPS give you a snapshot on the loyalty and satisfaction of customers, and there are different strategies that the organization uses to properly manage this, allowing for more data validity and higher response rates. 

How the Packaging Affects the Score 

The answer should be obvious but remember that packaging is the first thing that they get, and it’s the first impression you have with this. Your packaging can immediately impact the NPS in a variety of ways. The first area is the box experience. Packaging should be intuitive, easy to open, without frustration, and best of all, simple. 



We’ve all dealt with the frustration of trying to open something, and the frustration free packaging trend is something that allows for the materials to be minimized allowing for a better out of the box experience, offering benefits to many people worldwide on a variety of different shipments and orders. The next aspect is arriving undamaged. No one is looking to ship out damaged products, so you want to make sure that the product arrives undamaged before you ship this. Make sure that you know the modes of transport used, and to make sure that it des pass the different box test methods in order to properly protect and secure the products from damage that goes along with this. 



There is also the recyclability, and if you want to really get people excited with this, you want to make sure that there is some sort of sustainability that comes with this.  It’s something that you definitely should consider since this does affect the NPS score. Minimal waste is another. People don’t want to have to go to the wastebin and throw out a bunch of stuff. Needless packaging is annoying, people don’t’ like it, and it shows to others that you don’t care about the environment, so try to reduce this as much as you can. Finally, easy returns. Things happen, and if it’s something not fitting, or maybe not what’s right for you, you want to make sure that you do have easy returns. This is something that does impact the NPS, since it means that customers will want to go with you since returns are easy, rather than it being harder. 

Consider all of these aspects of packaging, and work to ensure that you’re getting all of the different aspects in place before you continue since of course, by taking proper care, you can make it better for you, and make it easier for you to work with as well in every aspect of the way.
